On Sunday mornings, you will find youth worshipping throughout the congregation with family and friends. Church school classes for 6th, 7th, 8th grade (Confirmation) and 9-10th and 11th-12th grades are staffed by caring adult teachers. Throughout the school year, the youth meet regularly on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:30 PM. During this time, we share a meal, play together and explore our faith in a variety of ways. Middle and High schoolers meet separately and are led by pas-sionate adult advisers. Please check the PHPC youth blog “Back of the Pews” as well as the bulletin, newsletter, and Facebook for regular and special youth activities.
Serving is a significant part of our lives together. The High Schoolers provide breakfast to the homeless at First Presby-terian in downtown Atlanta whenever there is a fifth Sun-day while The Middle Schoolers help with Family Promise program. Both groups also serve at Clifton Sanctuary Minis-tries and do other mission work in the Duluth-Atlanta area.
Special events & Summer Activities are fun opportuni-ties for fellowship and to build relationships with God and others. Numerous activities occur year-round and summer events include the Montreat Youth Conference and Interna-tional Mission Trip for HS; and the “Mission Possible” Mis-sion Trip for MS.
“You who are young, make the most of your youth. Relish your youthful vigor.
Follow the im-pulses of your heart.”
—Ecclesiastes 11:9
"Don’t let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity."
